Unexpected fans see Bella’s mom, Falen, as an enabler for her daughter. Bella became pregnant at 15 by her boyfriend, Hunter Johnson, 13, which has been a bitter pill to swallow. In a recent episode, Bella had a C-section with their son, Wes. Not four days later, Hunter was seen getting ready to shower with Bella, and Falen approved of it. This led viewers to rage, but Falen is now defending the shower scene. Keep reading for more on what she had to say.
Bella & Hunter Shower Together Days Post-Delivery
It was a terrifying moment for Bella Vaughn and her mother, Falen, when the doctor suggested a C-section. Bella is only fifteen, and no parent wants to watch their child go under like this. Unexpected fans have watched Bella’s journey and are torn about it. Her boyfriend, Hunter Johnson, is only 13, so to have him in the surgical room, watching this happen, was a scary thought. He handled it great, with Falen there for support, and Bella welcomed a baby boy. They all went back to Bella’s home upon release, but just days after, the itch to be intimate again was already there.
Bella wanted to take a shower, and Hunter was right behind her. Falen can be heard saying, “Hunter’s gonna shower with you?” Now, anyone who has had a baby knows that sex must wait a minimum of six weeks. That is when women have their postpartum checkup and are cleared for intimacy and anything physical. Yet, the teenagers were very open about not knowing how long they could wait.
Immediately after the scene, Unexpected viewers were livid. They could not believe what they had seen and raced to social media to express their disdain and concern:
- How can that mom even say “so you two are showering together” and not feel weird! That’s so crazy!
- This is actually very crazy and inappropriate
However, Falen Vaughn defended her decision to allow them to shower together. She stated that a postpartum shower is quite difficult, but Hunter was ready and willing to help Bella:
“They’ve already done the deed! They’ve already got pregnant, had a baby, so I don’t know what the issue is. I’m going to let them be there for each other, no matter the situation… My daughter needed help in the shower so, guess what? Hunter was there to help her.”
Still A Massive Issue
The Arkansas parents of Bella Vaughn are catching heat despite defending their decision. Unexpected fans think that Falen should have been in the shower with Bella rather than Hunter. Bella has made it clear that she does not want to take any birth control. That being said, this could cause a very big problem in the future. So, regardless of Hunter helping, fans are conflicted. They wished that there was more context about why he was in the shower:
- These idiots shouldn’t have been in a show called Unexpected because with this behavior and parenting, this sh*t should have been expected. They don’t appear or sound like they received good genetics and sense though.
- It feels like… the context for the shower scene wasn’t to help Bella. If that were made clear in the moment I’d have felt better about it.
However, some fans love Falen and Bella, feeling they can do no wrong:
