Unexpected fans are not happy with Bella Vaughn’s parents, Kris and Falen. They feel that they enable Bella and her boyfriend, Hunter Johnson, who is only thirteen. Bella’s Parents Split Several Years Back
As always, Unexpected has a lot of questionable cast members. Bella Vaughn was just fourteen when she became pregnant by her twelve-year-old boyfriend, Hunter Johnson. Moreover, they began dating when she was twelve, and he was ten. She openly discusses their intimate life on camera and in front of her parents, with her mother, Falen, always defending Hunter. Viewers have started to believe that she is secretly harboring feelings for Hunter, and it is a tad off-putting. As the season goes on, more keeps coming out about the parents of the teenagers.
As it turns out, Bella’s parents are no exception. They shared their story on social media, and they initially tied the knot in 2004. However, things fell apart, and they got a divorce in 2016. It seemed that they could not stand to be apart, and as they noted, they wanted to give it one more shot. Therefore, they ended up getting back together one year after they divorced and remarried in 2021. They professed their love on the anniversary of the day that they reconciled, but it may have been a reconciliation of convenience.
According to Starcasm, after the divorce went through, the Unexpected parents had a rough road. Falen was granted custody of their three children, with Kris to pay $300/ month in child support. They each got one car, but Kris got the house, which is wild given that Falen was the sole caretaker. Yet, he defaulted on the mortgage payments, and within six months, the home was in foreclosure. They just showcased the brand new home that they closed on, and how excited they are to start a new chapter, so it seems to have all worked out.

Unexpected fans have seen how happy the Arkansas couple appears to be now that they have reconciled. In fact, they likely would never have known that there was ever a problem had they not spoken up. Yet, now that they have, there are a lot of mixed reactions amongst viewers, from excitement that they found happiness to disgust:
