In one part of the interview, the Vice President defended the President saying that he “loved” inflation. Despite the extremely differing views between the hosts and the VP, the interview was surprisingly cordial.

Ana Navarro definitely went the hardest with her questions. Her determination to get answers led to an unexpected tense moment with Whoopi Goldberg. As moderator, Whoopi wanted to send the show to a commercial break but Ana Navarro wouldn’t stop talking. Whoopi scolded her for refusing to let her go to a commercial.

She said that she understood why Whoopi Goldberg snapped at her. “This is a live show, that’s why it gets messy sometimes,” she told The View producer and podcast host Brian Teta.

The executive producer shared with listeners that the tense moment was forgotten by the hosts moments after it happened. Ana Navarro revealed that she’s on good terms with Whoopi Goldberg despite the on-air spat. “Whoopi Goldberg and I are close friends, and we don’t take this out of the studio,” Ana Navarro said.
