General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal a major corruption scandal could be brewing for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).
Dante stepped up to take Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place as police commissioner due to her mental health drama, but he could be forced out of the position if his dirty actions are uncovered.
GH fans understand why Dante wants to do everything he can to protect Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
Rocco shot Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), but Cullum could make Rocco disappear permanently if the truth comes out.
Since Rocco’s life is on the line, Dante has good reasons for his part in this cover-up.
That said, Dante is a corrupt cop since he made the decision to destroy evidence against Rocco and bury the real story.
It’s probably no coincidence that Dante got rid of the proof shortly before Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) made his debut.
Now Joe’s being portrayed as somebody who wants to do things by the book – like when he followed procedure with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and hauled him back to the police station in handcuffs.
Dante was the one who took the cuffs off and took a softer approach, which Joe clearly didn’t approve of.
More friction is looming between Joe and Dante, so the writers may be setting up a storyline here.
Joe could be the one to expose Dante’s corruption and take him down for covering up what Rocco did on Pier 55 that night.
We could easily imagine Joe investigating the missing evidence and realizing Dante destroyed it.
Joe might investigate even further and discover that Dante is hiding Rocco’s shooter guilt.
Of course, there could be a twist if Joe is secretly working for Cullum and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).
That’s an option to keep in mind since GH spoilers say there’s more going on underneath the surface when it comes to Joe.
Even if that’s the case, Dante could have a real problem on his hands.
Joe could still leak the Rocco news to Cullum and create a dangerous mess, so it’ll be interesting to see his role in all the chaos.
Regardless, General Hospital spoilers say Dante may not get away with his cover-up indefinitely!
