Fresh out of federal prison, Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, are already cooking up a new scheme. The Chrisley Knows Best alums, who were charged with bank fraud among a variety of other financial crimes, want to convert a mansion into a hotel. And of course, they want to make a reality TV show out of it.
Todd and Julie Chrisley want to open a hotel
The felonious couple recently sat down with ABC News as part of their post-pardon victory lap. They’ve been unapologetic and eager to return to civilian life following their pardon from the POTUS. During the chat, they shared that they were going to relocate from Nashville, Tennessee, to Charleston, South Carolina.
“You know, I think we will always have a presence in Nashville, but I have a pull for Julie and I to go back to South Carolina — to Charleston — to that area. And we have plans for what we wanna do,” Todd teased.
He continued. “We have hopes of acquiring a hotel — a mansion — there, that we are gonna convert into a hotel, and we’re gonna create a show around that.”
This mansion-to-hotel series would be separate from the previously announced Lifetime docuseries. That series was already in production with daughter Savannah Chrisley at the helm. When the President announced their pardons, after months of begging, Lifetime picked up the cameras to capture the immediate aftermath.
Although you’d expect the Chrisleys to take some time out of the public eye, the two are going full steam ahead with their comeback. Within days of getting out of jail, Julie had already dyed her hair back to platinum blonde. That’s how you know it’s serious.
However, the Chrisleys’ eagerness to return to TV could be due to the massive legal bills they’ve allegedly racked up over the years. They might be off the hook for their criminal charges, but their lawyer still needs to get paid. That means there’s plenty of Chrisley content in the pipeline, whether you like it or not.
