A former host of The View made shocking comments earlier this week about an explosive on-air interaction from nearly a decade ago. Another broke their silence about the allegations, begging to “stop the madness, stop the lying.” What are they talking about?
The View Hosts Praise Republican Pundit
The current co-hosts of The View have different political viewpoints, but the show largely leans left. The hosts came under fire earlier this year for their constant criticism of the current administration, especially President Trump.
While the ABC talk show was rumored to be on the chopping block, it returned for Season 29 in September. The co-hosts continued to debate the day’s “Hot Topics,” usually political in nature.

The federal government is currently in the middle of a shutdown after Congress couldn’t reach an agreement on the spending bill. Both sides blame each other. In a rare moment of praise, the co-hosts of The View gave Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene a shout-out.
The congresswoman represents District 14, located in the Chattanooga area of Georgia. She took to social media earlier this week to address the rising health insurance costs. One of the issues with getting the budget passed is health insurance coverage.
In a rare moment of praise, The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg called MTG the “voice of reason.”
Rosie O’Donnell Makes Shocking Claim About On-Air Fight
If only the show had a voice of reason in 2007, an on-air confrontation between two co-hosts wouldn’t have happened. Rosie O’Donnell and Elisabeth Hasselbeck famously went head-to-head over the Iraq war that ended in a shouting match.
Rosie O’Donnell recently made a shocking claim about the fight. She believes the producers planned it. The comedian found it odd that the cameras knew to immediately cut to a split screen of the two hosts.

Former Star Responds, ‘Stop The Madness, Stop The Lying’
Rosie O’Donnell also claimed that she used to be really good friends with her co-host before the blow-up. Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who rose to fame on Survivor before joining the talk show, broke her silence on the feud.
She took to Instagram Stories with a tear-filled video to address the claim that the on-air fight was planned. IG Stories disappear after so many hours, so the video isn’t available anymore.
But Entertainment Weekly viewed it before it disappeared and described it in great detail. Elisabeth Hasselbeck began the video by heaping praise on Whoopi Goldberg, the current moderator of The View.
Elisabeth said that she just talked to Whoopi recently to thank her for being friends despite their different political views.
It’s not possible with someone like Rosie O’Donnell, who time and time again wants to spread lies and hate,” she added.
The former View host claimed that she tried to reach out to Rosie several times over the years to put an end to their feud. However, she never heard back. Elisabeth Hasselbeck pleaded to “close the yearbook” on the 2007 on-air argument.
She extended another invitation for Rosie O’Donnell to come to her house in Nashville, Tennessee, to talk it out. Rosie moved to Ireland earlier this year.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck ended the video by pleading with Rosie to let the feud go. “Stop lying, stop, stop, and in the meantime and even maybe if you don’t stop, I still forgive you and it can just be so much more free, Rosie, if you can just stop,” she begged.
The former View host added, “Stop the madness, stop the lying, and just be free. I just pray God’s fire and glory around you so you can be protected from whatever is holding you back.”
