Count The View host Joy Behar among those who aren’t happy about the latest Bachelorette announcement. She shared a scathing takedown of reality star Taylor Frankie Paul, who will be the lead for Season 22 of the popular dating franchise. Keep reading to find out more about Joy’s beef with the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star.
From MomTok To Bachelorette
Taylor Frankie Paul gained instant fame in 2022 when she announced on TikTok that she was divorcing her husband, with whom she had been involved in “soft swinging” with other couples. She was part of the MomTok sensation, where Mormon moms from Utah shared their experiences in the religion.
The 2022 scandal led to Hulu developing The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, starring Taylor Frankie Paul and some of the other MomTok influencers.

After divorcing her husband, Taylor Frankie Paul was in an intense relationship with Dakota Mortensen. They broke up earlier this year after welcoming a child together in 2024. She also has two children with her ex-husband.
The mom of three was announced as the next Bachelorette earlier this week. Season 22 airs in early 2026. The Bachelor has also been renewed for another season, but ABC hasn’t revealed when either show will air next year.
The View Co-Host Joy Behar Shames Taylor Frankie Paul
Taylor Frankie Paul is reality TV gold, but is she the right person for the ABC dating franchise? Some fans are upset about her past and refuse to watch.
The co-hosts of The View often discuss what’s happening in the Bachelor Nation franchise. They previously called out new Golden Bachelor Mel Owens for his offensive comments about the age of his contestants.
The talk show returned earlier this week for Season 29. On Friday’s pre-taped episode, they shared their thoughts on the Bachelorette announcement. Joy Behar didn’t hold back when she shamed Taylor Frankie Paul for her prior dating life.
She said, “She has three kids and two baby daddies, so will these bachelors line up to be baby daddy number three?”

Joy Behar added, “Isn’t that the whole point of the show? To find your lover and get married? Okay, well she’s got a little bit of baggage.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin Speaks Up
Alyssa Farah Griffin admitted that she was “conflicted” at first about Taylor Frankie Paul was the next Bachelorette. The casting news is a bit surprising because the show typically casts someone from the franchise, not an outsider.
But ultimately, Alyssa Farah Griffin said she thinks the Secret Lives star is perfect for the role. “What I do love about her and why I think she’ll be excellent [is] she’s super authentic and she’s extremely chaotic, and those are both great for reality TV,” she explained.
She also said that Taylor Frankie Paul had a “tough” life. “They navigate a very restrictive religion. She stepped out of the faith and now is trying to find herself,” The View co-host said.
A lot of Bachelor Nation fans aren’t sure if Taylor Frankie Paul is looking for love or more fame. Share your thoughts in the comments.
