Many fans believe a major shakeup at The View is on the horizon. The ABC talk show has been facing down cancellation rumors for months. Alyssa Farah Griffin recently revealed that she’s pregnant, which means she will likely be temporarily replaced. But there are rumors that some of the other co-hosts might leave after this season. Fans of the show say they won’t watch if one host in particular leaves. Who is it?
Sara Haines Defends Treatment Of Controversial Guest
When Barbara Walters created The View in 1997, she had a vision of a daytime talk show with all-female hosts from various political backgrounds. And the show was that for many years. But when she retired in 2014, the show began to lean to the left more than the right.
Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, Ana Navarro, and Alyssa Farah Griffin currently co-host the show. The majority of the hosts are liberals or independents who lean left. The “Hot Topics” segment is usually dedicated to calling out the current administration and what’s going on in Washington, D.C.

Despite the clear favoritism, the hosts continue to claim that they would be open to guests from both sides of the aisle. They recently welcomed actress Cheryl Hines. These days she’s known more for who her husband is than her long acting career.
She’s married to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, who currently serves as the head of the Department of Health and Human Services. As the lead of HHS, RFK Jr. has vowed to “Make America Healthy Again.” Part of his mission is to look into the connection between vaccines and autism.
While a lot of the country supports RFK Jr., he’s received a lot of backlash, too. That backlash is aimed at his wife, too. She was on The View to promote a book but spent most of the time defending her husband.
“We want people at our table. We want people with different views at our table,” The View host Sara Haines insisted after the interview.
The View Fans Say They Won’t Watch If Favorite Host Leaves
Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are the most outspoken hosts on the daytime talk show. They are highly critical of the current administration, which puts a target on them. Both ladies are getting up there in age and could retire soon.
Fans of The View vowed to stop watching if one host in particular leaves. “The View will cease to be The View that we know and love when Joy is no longer on the panel. She IS the show to me and many many others. Plus she’s an OG,” one fan wrote on social media.
Another added, “Joy is my all time favorite. She has everything and could do that show all by herself, with a little technical assistance!!!”
A third fan called the comedian the “soul” of the daytime talk show. Joy Behar hasn’t shared any concrete plans to leave The View, but she’s looking forward to retiring sooner rather than later.
