Sister Wives‘ star Janelle Brown is revealing that her daughter did not share her most recent pregnancy news with dad Kody Brown.

In a teaser for the upcoming episode of the TLC show, which was filmed before Maddie and Caleb welcomed their daughter Emilia Estelle Brush in March, the reality star, 56, opens up in a confessional about how her daughter Maddie didn’t share the exciting news of her fourth baby with her dad, also 56.

In the short clip, the mom of six can be seen answering the question of whether Kody was kept in the loop about her daughter’s pregnancy.

“No, Maddie doesn’t really even tell him that she’s pregnant,” she says. “He’ll find out.”

The 30-year-old daughter of Janelle and Kody welcomed her fourth child in March, sharing the exciting news on Instagram.

“Absolutely worth the wait, Miss Emilia Estelle Brush has finally made her grand entrance!” she wrote in the caption. “Our sweet girl took her time, keeping us all in suspense, but when she decided it was time—she didn’t waste a second. Born on 3/14, she arrived absolutely perfect. We are completely smitten with our newest little love.🩵”

This is not the first time Janelle has opened up about Kody’s relationship with his daughter Maddie and subsequently her children, whom she shares with husband Caleb Brush.

During an episode of Sister Wives last year, Janelle opened up to her former husband about how she’s considering moving closer to their daughter Maddie to be near their grandchildren. Kody then asked, “Why didn’t she call me to tell me she was having a baby?”

“The kids are all feeling very estranged from you,” Janelle replied.

In a confessional, Janelle shared that Maddie felt like her father “hasn’t shown interest” in her children.

“Maddie has observed to me that Kody has not been out to see her kids since Evie was born, and Evie’s 3,” she explained. “Maddie’s like, ‘Why would I tell him that I’m having another one? He hasn’t really shown that much interest in the other two.'”

Back in the scene, Kody can’t seem to understand Maddie’s logic, saying she’s “talking like I’ve done some kind of evil to them. I’m missing something here.”

He then blamed the lack of relationship between himself and his daughter on “jealousy and gossip,” which he discussed further last season.
