Savannah Chrisley ‘Debunks’ Claim Julie Chrisley Faked ʙʀᴇᴀsᴛ Cancer to ‘Avoid Court Proceedings’: ‘Dumbfounded’

“There’s a special place in hell for you, and I hope you feel good about yourself,” Savannah said

Savannah Chrisley is speaking out against what she says are lies regarding her mother’s health.

In the Tuesday, June 17 episode of Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, the 27-year-old podcaster started off her show by debunking rumors that Julie Chrisley, 52, faked having breast cancer to avoid court proceedings.

“I feel like it’s been a long time since we’ve done a solo podcast. And there’s just so many things to catch you up on. So I’m gonna try to go about it in the best way possible. But before I do, I really want to address something,” Savannah said in the episode, which was filmed before her parents’ prison release.

The reality star said the need to address the topic stemmed from when she picked up coffee earlier that morning and was scrolling through social media while she waited for her order.

“I saw where someone commented that, you know, my family was this fraud and were terrible human beings, X Y Z, and how my mother faked her breast cancer diagnosis,” she said. “So I was literally dumbfounded to see the accusations that were being made. ‘Apparently, she faked her breast cancer diagnosis to avoid court proceedings,’ was what this individual said. And let’s take it back.”

“She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012. They weren’t federally or criminally charged till 2019. So that right there completely debunks your whole theory,” Savannah explained.

Her father, Todd Chrisley, 56, and his wife, Julie, were serving a combined 19 years in prison after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022. The reality television couple reported to prison in January 2023.

Both were released early after receiving pardons from President Donald Trump in May.

“But for people that want to know when mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, I know Dad picked me up from school. Mom had a doctor’s appointment that day,” Savannah said.

“I’ll never forget finding out that mom had breast cancer,” she continued.

During an October 2018 interview with The Tennessean, Julie revealed it was Todd who insisted she get a mammogram after two of the couple’s friends had been diagnosed with cancer.

“I did it to appease him so he would shut up and leave me alone,” Julie told the outlet.

Discussing her double mastectomy later in the interview, she added, “I had a 6-year-old. I had to do whatever I had to do to be around for my kids.”

During Savannah’s podcast on Tuesday, she revealed it was her younger brother, Grayson Chrisley, now 19, who was 6 years old at the time of Julie’s diagnosis.

Savannah also recalled how her mother “basically went through menopause at the age of 39 because and during that, she would have insane hot flashes,” while undergoing cancer treatment.

“The side effects were horrible,” she said.

“She had two or three, reconstructive surgeries. She slept in a recliner for what I feel like was probably a year beside their bed with my dad, because she couldn’t stand to lay all the way down,” Savannah said.

“So, for someone to make an accusation that my mother lied about having breast cancer at the age of 39, there truly is a special place in hell for you. It’s that simple. There’s a special place in hell for you, and I hope you feel good about yourself.”
