Pauline first appeared on TLC’s My 600-Lb Life back in 2015. She was around 50 years old at the time.
Pauline’s starting weight on the show was around 678 lbs. After losing over 500 lbs., she qualified for skin removal surgery. When she first appeared on the show, her son Dillon and her niece Megan helped to take care of her.

In a video recently uploaded to Pauline’s YouTube channel, her son Dillon shared the story of his mother’s accident, which took place in January. It was explained that they had a collision when they had smashed into a truck on the highway.

According to Dillon, they were driving in the early morning hours. He also claimed that the truck did not have hazard lights on. Dillon shared, “My mom tried to swerve to go around it, but the passenger side of the car hit the side of the trailer and completely spun us around.”
“When we stopped, we were facing the opposite direction on the opposite side of the road. At the time of impact, we were going 50mph.”

As noted by The Daily Mail, Pauline endured a number of health issues in her final months. Back in July, doctors discovered a blockage in her esophagus, which kept her from keeping food down. Later, after being diagnosed with Covid, she also entered hospice care in November, before being released to her sister’s home.
Pauline died on Thanksgiving, November 27, 2025. As noted by Us Weekly, she was 62 at the time of her death. According to the outlet, an official cause of death has not been released.
Dillon has also started a GoFundMe campaign to help raise funds for his mother’s funeral. A statement read, “This is to hopefully get some donations for cremation services for the passing of Pauline Potter. She passed away Thursday, November 27th, 2025.” A memorial date was said to be announced at a later date.
