Mama June Fans Recently Saw Pumpkin Share Information About Her Love Life With Family & Friends
Viewers were introduced to the Shannon family through shows like Toddlers & Tiaras, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and WEtv’s Mama June. One member of the family that has been making headlines as of late is June Shannon’s daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird.
Lauryn previously married Josh Efird in 2018. The couple, who share four children together, filed for divorce in 2024.
Since then, Pumpkin has opened up about her relationship with Darrin Kitchens on the show, revealing the news to family and friends. As previously reported, she originally wanted to bide her time with revealing the news, as Darrin and Josh are cousins through marriage.
Recently, members of the Shannon family were interviewed by Access Hollywood. During the conversation, Pumpkin was asked about her relationship with Darrin.
Stephanie Swaim asked Pumpkin if wedding bells could be in the future for Lauryn and Darrin, or if they were taking things day by day. Pumpkin herself shared, “Honestly, we’re taking it day by day. Like, I don’t want to rush anything.”
Lauryn then looked back on her past relationship with Josh. On the concern of rushing things, she felt, “I really felt like I did that in my previous marriage and maybe that’s where I went wrong. So like with this one, I really, really do like him. So I do want to just take things easy and take things slow. Like, I’m not rushing anything.”
June Shannon Also Shared Her Thoughts On Marriage & Darrin Himself
“Mama” June Shannon herself chimed in, “And I tell her, you already had one piece of paper. And a piece of paper doesn’t change your relationship.” However, Pumpkin could be heard saying, “I don’t care about that.”
Swaim noted that June gave a bit of a side-eye when she brought up the idea of marriage. June then shared that the family had recently went on vacation with him during the Fourth of July holiday.
June noted that things were very different from when they went on vacation with Josh. Noting that Darrin was very “involved” and took care of Pumpkin’s kids, as well as his own child, she shared, “So, I have seen that part of him.”
