Joy-Anna Duggar Has a History of Unsafe Parenting Choices
Joy-Anna married her husband, Austin Forsyth, in May 2017. The couple has three children together. Their oldest son, Gideon, was born in February 2018. The couple’s only daughter, Evelyn, was born in August 2020. Their youngest son, Gunner, was born in May 2023. Joy-Anna has previously been called out for unsafe parenting. In 2024, Duggar posted a video riding on an ATV with her youngest son, Gunner, riding on her lap. However, neither wore a helmet as they rode across a grassy area. Fans quickly criticized the reality star for putting her child’s life at risk. In addition, fans took to the comments of Duggar’s video to question her parenting choices. They said:

Joy-Anna has also been called out for unsanitary conditions in her home. Fans noticed piles of dirty diapers stacked in the background of her home and questioned why the reality star would leave dirty diapers sitting around. In addition, she has been called out for leaving her small children unsupervised around horses. The children were featured in videos playing near the family’s horses without adults in the vicinity. Duggar has also faced harsh criticism over her children not wearing shoes when they should be for their safety.
Joy-Anna Duggar has found herself in hot water again over her parenting choices. Fans noticed a recent photo showed Duggar putting her daughter Evelyn in a dangerous situation. Recently, Joy posted in her Instagram stories a photo of her family walking into a local farm supply store. Fans accused Duggar of placing a sticker over her daughter to hide the fact that the child wasn’t wearing shoes on the hot pavement. In addition the asphalt can reach a temperature of 140-150 degrees Fahrenheit on a hot summer day. Fans took to social media to blast Duggar for putting her daughter in danger and attempting to cover it up. They said:

- “The pavement’s hot, you’re in public and they could step on anything. Especially at a supply store like this, who knows what stuff could end up on the floor.”
- “There’s been a heatwave where they live. That blacktop has to be boiling, in addition to being filthy! Why would she let her young children walk on that hot surface without shoes? Careless.”
She has not addressed fans concerns. However, fans felt that not having Evelyn wear shoes on pavement reaching high temperatures leaves the child vulnerable to being burned. In addition, they said debris in the public parking lot could cut or harm Evelyn’s feet. Fans also felt Evelyn’s lack of shoes where unsanitary. In addition, Fans felt that Duggar attempting to cover her child showed she new the choice was wrong and was attempting to cover it up.
