General Hospital star Steve Burton’s wife, Michelle Lundstrom, is sharing a heartbreaking update about their baby. The two tied the knot in May 2025 and have been happily wed ever since. Steve Burton’s Wife Shares Heartbreaking Baby Update
When Steve Burton was blindsided by his first wife, Sheree Gustin, the GH community felt horrible for him. They had been married for over twenty years and had three children together.
Sheree then announced she was expecting again, but it was not Steve’s. That betrayal was too hard to handle or swallow, but he eventually found happiness with Michelle Lundstrom, a chef. They tied the knot in May of this year in front of family, friends, and his co-stars. Soon after, they went on to expand their family, which was a blend of his and her children.
The couple welcomed a puppy, Wyatt, into their home, and it was the most seamless transition. He loved the General Hospital staple and his wife, as well as their kids.
Unfortunately, things have taken a turn, and their baby is not doing well. Michelle shared an update via her social media, explaining what was happening as Wyatt is only twelve weeks old. However, he developed mycoplasma, followed by Giardia. Now, Wyatt is battling aspiration pneumonia, so this is a parent’s worst nightmare. Michelle noted that he is on medications and has had a very tough road, but he is a fighter all the way.
Steve’s wife was holding Wyatt in a chest sling, close to her heart, and clearly giving him all of the love that he needed. General Hospital fans immediately chimed in with love and well-wishes that he would get better very soon. All Michelle wanted was prayers for light at the end of the tunnel and for her baby not to struggle any longer. They were so happy to welcome Wyatt home, and now, it is all sadness and sickness.

GH fans have long loved Steve Burton and were thrilled when he returned after being let go in 2021. Having him back at Jason Morgan was long-awaited and well-received.
