General Hospital is set to bring back another fan favorite and lets hope this one can stick around for some time! Daytime Emmy winner, Kelly Thiebaud is reportedly on her way back to tape all-new episodes of the ABC soap opera.
Previously, Thiebaud played Dr. Britt Westbourne on the daytime drama series, but the character wound up poisoned by ”The Hook” (which turned out to Heather Webber) serial killer and died right in front of our eyes. At the time of her death, Britt was set to leave Port Charles and eventually succumb to Huntington’s disease.
As of yet, there is no official word on just what role Thiebaud will be playing on-screen when she steps back on to the soap opera. Kelly is set to return next month in July. Could it be that when she turns up, she will somehow be a very much alive Britt, a twin sister, or someone completely new?

On her return, Kelly told Deadline, “It is good to be home,” while GH’s executive producer, Frank Valentini added, “I am thrilled to have Kelly back on our show We have some great twists and turns planned for her character.”
Before, Britt had died, she was embarking on a romance with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) until a cave collapsed on him and he was believed to be dead. With Burton back on the show and the arrival of Thiebaud, could GH be aiming to give Jason a bonafide love interest capturing the on-screen chemistry of Steve and Kelly from the past?

Previously, Thiebaud appeared on GH when she made her debut back in 2012. She left in 2015, and then returned from 2017-18 and again for a longer run in 2020-23. It was in 2022, the actress took home the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress, and in 2023, received yet another nomination in the category.
Thiebaud was also seen in the now canceled ABC drama series, Station 19 in the recurring role of Eva, She first played the part in 2020, returned to the series in 2022. Kelly’s voice can currently be heard in the role of Dr. Layla Carreri in the audio soap opera, Montecito currently on podcast platforms everywhere.
