General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sofia Mattsson (Sasha Gilmore Corbin) generated plenty of buzz with a recent social media post. Mattsson shared a fabulous photo of herself on Instagram and got fans talking, so let’s discuss why.
For starters, Sofia Mattsson showed off a hair color change that earned her some compliments.
Although Mattsson was blonder the last time viewers saw her on GH, she’s now sporting an equally gorgeous brunette look.
However, that wasn’t the only reason why Mattsson’s post got the attention of fans.
Mattsson also mentioned being in Los Angeles, so she was flooded with comments hoping she might have a Port Charles comeback in the works.
“Soaking up the LA sunshine,” Mattsson said on March 17.
Mattsson doesn’t post very often on social media, but she spent some time in Stockholm shortly before confirming her departure from GH in July 2025.
It’s worth noting that Sofia Mattsson’s Instagram bio currently says “Swedish actress in LA” – and now we’ve got confirmation she was in LA enjoying some rays recently.
Mattsson still has “Sasha Gilmore on ABC’s @generalhospitalabc” in her bio as well, so that’s something to keep in mind.
When Mattsson made her exit announcement, she also suggested it was a goodbye “for now” and expressed the hope that Sasha would return to her loved ones in PC eventually.
Many GH viewers are hoping the same thing, so could Mattsson’s Instagram post be a positive sign about what’s in store?
Mattsson seems willing and eager to reprise the role of Sasha, so it’d be great to see her step back into her character’s shoes and deliver more drama.
Sasha will presumably be part of Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) memorial when the time comes, but there’s room for her to be involved in major storylines, too.
Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has found happiness with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell), but maybe Sasha could come blowing back into town with Daisy Gilmore (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford) and shake things up.
