General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Katelyn MacMullen (Willow Cain) recently talked about Willow’s redemption and whether a positive transformation is still possible. In an interview with SOD, MacMullen reflected on how far Willow’s gone off the rails and what the future might hold for her character.
At the end of the February 5 episode, Willow turned quite menacing as she let Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) know exactly who shot him.
It was Willow herself who fired at Drew twice that night, so she told him now that she’s got a “captive audience.”
GH fans know Willow followed up her shooter crime with another one after getting acquitted in court.
Since Willow jabbed Drew with a syringe and caused his stroke, he’s completely at her mercy.
Of course, Willow has made plenty of other disturbing moves – like stalking Daisy Gilmore (Brenden and Evelyn Beimford), messing with Sasha Gilmore Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) head and framing Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) with an extra key to Drew’s house.
Willow may deliver even more shockers as this storyline moves forward, but what happens at the end of this long and winding road?
You can bet Willow will face a major downfall, but can she be redeemed after that?
“What she’s gone through, I’m sure it’s going to change her,” Katelyn MacMullen said before suggesting Willow’s future will be in the writers’ hands.
It’s too early to say what Willow’s next chapter will look like, but MacMullen certainly isn’t ruling out the possibility of redemption at this point.
“We’ll see if she’s able to take what she’s learned and maybe make positive changes … or not! It will just be interesting to see where this journey takes her,” MacMullen added.
Let’s be honest: so many other characters have done just as bad or worse than Willow over the years.
Katelyn MacMullen mentioned that she’d read a lot of wild stories and reflected on anything being possible on a soap.
“We do some crazy stuff in Port Charles — and I love it!” MacMullen exclaimed with a laugh.
General Hospital spoilers say Willow may undergo some character updates sooner or later, so stay tuned for any redemption-related news that might be brewing.
