General Hospital (GH) spoilers indicate that Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) recently revealed whether he’s leaving GH when he responded to a fan’s exit question. Many viewers have been curious about the possibility of Mathison departing the show, especially since his character’s been written into an awful corner.
Drew constantly sinks to new lows and is making an enemy out of almost everyone in Port Charles.
There’s no denying that Drew’s getting the kind of writing that could lead to a whodunit with a long list of suspects.
However, that doesn’t mean Drew will face a grim fate!
Plenty of characters have survived attempts on their lives over the years, so Drew could land at the center of a mystery and still come out alive.
Whatever the case, Cameron Mathison was asked if he’s exiting the show and had a very clear response.
Let’s look at what Mathison said in the comments section of a recent Instagram post.
“Is it true you’re leaving GH? If you are I am going to miss you,” one fan admitted.
Mathison replied with a simple “no,” so that confirms he’s sticking around for the time being.
Of course, we should note that the door’s still open for Mathison’s current character to exit if some story trickery is involved.
There are doubts about whether this Drew is even the real one, so it’s possible an imposter could be killed off – paving the way for the real one to return if he’s been held captive somewhere.
On the other hand, maybe there’s some brainwashing involved or even a medical explanation for why Drew’s behavior has been so off the rails.
There might be a path to redemption for Drew at some point.
Regardless, Mathison is shutting down any buzz that he might be exiting altogether.
The actor himself will remain on GH – no matter what might happen with Drew in the coming months!
