2026 is poised to be a busy year for General Hospital star Josh Swickard (Chase). Not only is he in the thick of story in the world of Port Charles, where his character was recently suspended from the PCPD for his efforts to prove that his ex-wife, Willow, did not shoot Congressman Drew Cain, but the actor and his wife, Lauren Swickard, are expanding their family! The couple took to social media to share the exciting news that they are awaiting the birth of their third child.
Party of Five
In a joint Instagram post that appeared on her account as well as her husband’s on January 4, Lauren wrote, “Exciting New Year’s update from the Swickard fam 💕🥳🥹 @joshswickard just a couple more months…🥰.” Her message accompanied a sweet video that began with footage of the couple and their two young children, Savannah (born April 2, 2021) and Arthur (born February 26, 2023), riding on a tractor on the farm outside of Los Angeles that they have called home since 2023. “The Swickard farm is … GROWING!!!”
Additional footage showed Lauren cradling her stomach, doing a little dance as she celebrated her positive pregnancy test, and posing for photos alongside her son and daughter, as well as Josh on horseback with Arthur, and Savannah at her dance class. The video ended with still portraits from the growing family’s photo shoot. Steve Burton (Jason), himself a father of three, was among the first to “like” the announcement.
Swickard joined the cast of GH as detective Harrison Chase back in 2018. He tied the knot with Lauren — who he met when she played his love interest in the movie Roped — in 2019.
Later, the duo starred together in the Netflix hit A California Christmas, which she also wrote, as well as its sequel, A California Christmas: City Lights. In 2023, Lauren landed her own role on GH, playing the short-term part of Janice, a nurse at Ferncliff.
Her proud husband told Soap Opera Digest that on her first day at the studio, “I was more nervous than Lauren was, just because I know what a weird beast it is [to shoot a soap opera]. Most of her work lately has been feature film stuff, which is just a completely different flow. But I was blown away by how calm and composed she was.”
