General Hospital spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (last played by Adam Huss) is currently still in prison after he held Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) against her will at Wyndemere while she was pregnant with his baby.
Nikolas was certainly wrong for doing what he did, but in his defense, he also believed that she was “The Hook”, a serial killer terrorizing Port Charles at the time.
The Hook was actually Esme’s mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills), and Esme eventually escaped. But Nikolas admitted his crimes and was sent away to prison.
Mayor Laura Collins will need her family!
Nikolas’ mother, Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) may soon need her children more than ever. Even though Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) is overseas, Laura still has Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havans) with her in Port Charles.
But Laura may soon be facing a tragedy. As viewers know, the actress who played Laura’s mother Leslie Webber, Denise Alexander, recently passed away. The show will most likely soon have Leslie follow suit. This news will devastate Laura, so Nikolas’ return from prison may come at a perfect time.
Nikolas Cassadine may have unfinished business with Ava Jerome
Although Nikolas’ former wife, Ava Jerome (Maura West), is currently torn between Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), she more than likely still has unresolved feelings toward Nikolas.
Although the two of them have likely ran their course when it comes to romance, they will always have lingering feelings for each other.
The same thing can be said of Nikolas and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), although it’s possible they could rekindle their friendship, and it could possibly lead to renewed romance.
Nikolas Cassadine was also involved with Dr. Britt Westbourne
Although Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is currently in Croatia with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), she will eventually come home to Port Charles.
Britt and Nikolas also shared a passionate romance. As Britt pushes Jason away, it’s easy to imagine a scenario where Britt uses Nikolas as a means of keeping Jason at arm’s length.
Britt and Jason should ultimately end up together, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a lot of obstacles before that happens. And Nikolas might be a huge part of that story?
