General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) survival investigation will get underway. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) will suspect that Cesar Faison saved his son along with his daughter, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), so she’ll have plenty of questions.
TV Insider spoke with GH Co-Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten about what’s coming up this fall.
In that interview, Van Etten and Korte teased Paevey’s return as Nathan – though there may be a catch.
Korte and Van Etten pointed out that there would be plenty of important questions to answer – like how Nathan survived Faison shooting him.
There’s also the matter of where Nathan has been and any changes the character might’ve undergone during his time off-screen.
Nathan will have to deal with Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) coma crisis and get some help figuring out what his life looks like from here.
However, Anna will have concerns about Britt and Nathan making these miraculous comebacks.
It’ll set off some Faison alarm bells for Anna and leave her determined to get to the bottom of things.
“Twin miracles — the returns of Britt and Nathan — feel more like twin omens to Anna.
To her mind, there’s only one person who could’ve saved them both from death — Cesar Faison,” Van Etten and Korte revealed,
This fall will bring Anna’s investigation as she tries to nail down exactly how Nathan and Britt survived.
Unfortunately, Anna’s deep dive into this topic will put her in harm’s way.
As Anna follows the trail and seeks answers, extreme danger will erupt.
You can bet Anna’s going to land in some sticky situations as a result of all her investigating.
Of course, we have to wonder if that “twin omens” part could be a hint about some identity deception.
Britt seems to be the real deal, but maybe Nathan could be revealed as an evil twin posing as him somewhere down the line.
This Nathan could be a clone or some other type of imposter depending on what twists the writers have in store.
We certainly wouldn’t put it past Peter August (Wes Ramsey) to pretend he’s Nathan while wearing a mask or something along those lines.
In other words, Nathan will return initially, but will the writers stick with that character or reveal a curveball down the road?
The danger that’s brewing for Anna might come when she gets too close to the real story!
Whatever the case, Nathan will come back along with Britt and give Anna something to look into, so there’s a chance she’ll peel back some disturbing layers.
