General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is about to crack the alibi Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) had with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) for the night of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting.
Still, the cop better watch his back since his friend has developed a new layer of darkness since returning to PC this past spring.
It’s undeniable that Rory Gibson has done a stellar job as the Michael Corinthos recast and presented a very different side of the character fans haven’t seen before.
When it comes to this Drew shooting storyline, Michael seems to know more than he’s telling everyone and has been quite methodical with his moves.
Michael returned to town in May, after rehabilitation for his burns incurred during the firebombing incident at his father, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) penthouse, and has been “different”.
He fought for his life after catching fire, while his marriage was exploding, and being away from his kids transformed Michael into a new character – one that is fiercely protective of his children, and willing to do just about anything to keep them safe and firmly in his orbit.
Chase seems adamant that Michael is Drew’s shooter and that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is innocent and is willing to cross a line or two to prove so.
Chase will somehow obtain evidence that Jacinda, who is currently Michael’s alibi, was not with Michael during the time of Drew’s shooting.
There’s been talk about Jacinda being with another client during that period, and all arrows are pointing to city councilman Erza Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) being the culprit.
With that said, Chase seems quite cocky during the GH preview for the week of November 17-21 when he relays to someone unknown, likely Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), that, “Michael gave the police a false alibi, and I can prove it!”
Chase may see this as great news, as he doesn’t want to see Willow rot in prison for a crime she didn’t commit, but in doing so, he’ll earn an enemy in Michael.
Blowing Michael’s alibi out of the water doesn’t necessarily prove that he shot Drew, but it could place Michael’s full custody of Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) in jeopardy.
There’s no way Michael will allow this betrayal from Chase to pass.
Chase isn’t conducting this investigation for the PCPD, and in many ways, snooping the way he has could cost him his badge.
Michael has the money and power to strike hard against Chase in ways the cop can’t even fathom.
There’s no doubt that Michael will take aim at Chase’s job, and he could use Aurora Media as a way to strike.
Chase is also Michael’s cousin’s hubby, so Michael could also create massive waves in his marriage to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and potentially destroy it.
The two are super close, and there’s a chance that Michael will use this as a way to get back at Chase.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that things are bound to get ugly in the Q mansion, so fans will have to continue to tune into the ABC soap to see how badly Michael will retaliate against Chase once he finds out what his cop friend has done.
