General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie Regrets Rushed Spinelli Pick, Jealousy Erupts Over Nathan & Lulu?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) may have made her romantic choice too quickly. Was it a mistake for Maxie to pick Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) over Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) without really taking the time to think this decision through?

Maxie has faced a whirlwind of difficult emotions since she came out of her coma.

In addition to learning that six months had passed, Maxie had to deal with the news that Nathan had returned from the grave.

Nathan seemed like Maxie’s true love once upon a time, but she made the speedy choice to stand by Spinelli instead.

Although both Spinelli and Nathan were willing to be patient, Maxie didn’t want to drag this out and put the kids through a waiting period.

Although we get why Maxie would feel that way, it also seems like she’s moving a bit too fast and not giving herself a chance to fully process the situation.

Maxie was overwhelmed after her welcome home party and perhaps not in the best frame of mind to be making huge decisions.

Of course, we’re happy for Spinelli, who adores Maxie and really has shown up in all the ways that count.

It’s easy to see why Maxie would choose her safe life with Spinelli over a risky one of reconnecting with Nathan, which might not work out.

Plus, Nathan has secretly fallen for Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), so it’s not like Maxie would’ve had his whole heart anyway if they’d reunited now.

That said, things could change for Maxie once Nathan inevitably moves on with Lulu.

It could stir up some unresolved feelings and perhaps some jealousy as well.

GH fans know Nathan is single now, so Maxie obviously can’t tell him who to date.

However, Maxie may find herself with doubts about her choice and could perhaps start to wonder if she was too quick to cast Nathan aside.

From Maxie’s perspective, it may look like Lulu is picking up the pieces of Nathan’s broken heart when he actually started falling for her before Maxie ever came out of her coma.

Regardless, Nathan’s budding romance with Lulu could bring some complicated emotions for Maxie somewhere down the line.

If Nathan starts to have regrets of his own, maybe Maxie could still have a future with him after all.

Naturally, a lot will depend on the truth about Nathan’s survival and whether this is even the real him!
