General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Wright Dishes Carly Spencer’s Out For Blood-She’s Taking Jack Down!
General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal anyone who has observed for just a week understands that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is like a volcano, perpetually on the verge of an eruption.
Now that she knows her love interest, Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna), has been lying about her daughter Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) perilous WSB job, we can expect a major explosion.
She’s Taking Him Down!
Laura Wright shares with Soap Opera Digest, “She’s like, ‘I’m taking him down, and I’m going to protect my daughter.’” She’s not entirely confident in her strategy, but she’s working on it; once Carly figures out her approach, Brennan had better prepare for the worst.
When Carly feels wronged, she goes to great lengths to take down her adversary-let’s not forget that she once ruined her mother Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) marriage by seducing her husband.
She was so furious with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) for dancing with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) that she ended up having hate sex with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Plus, Carly has a history of ordering hits-although she’s no longer married to the Mob, it’s clear she’s still “connected.”
‘Jackly’ Is Burnt Toast
Regardless of how you look at it, the romance between Carly and Jack is practically at an end… but perhaps that’s not such a terrible outcome after all.
But the big question is, what makes it so, why isn’t it such a bad thing? This split might just be the catalyst for Carly to find herself entangled in a love triangle involving her best friend Jason.
The triangle might involve the last person she’d ever want to see him rekindle things with, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). But, to make a long story short, Carly didn’t break up with Jack-at least not that he knows; she’s letting him think he’s safe to set him up!
Diva In Disguise
In the episode that aired on Monday, October 20, Carly provided Jack with an opportunity to be honest, but he chose not to take it. Following his departure, Carly immediately set her plan into motion.
She reached out to Damian Spinelli (played by Bradford Anderson) and requested his assistance in creating a new identity, complete with a cover that would withstand the scrutiny of the WSB.
Meanwhile, the latest weekly promo for General Hospital revealed that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was receiving a visitor he recognized yet did not anticipate. Could this unexpected visitor be Carly, especially since Jack had informed her about his attempts to gather information from Valentin?
Hell Hath No Fury Like A Carly Scorned!
An unusual event transpired that led to Jack’s unexpected release from Pentonville, subsequently appointing him as the WSB station chief in Port Charles.
This occurred shortly after the conclusion of the Pikeman storyline, which coincided with Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) return to Port Charles. At that moment, Valentin was on the run, but he made a comeback not long after Jack’s mysterious return.
Carly is certainly aware of this connection, and it seems likely that her investigation into Jack could involve digging into Jack’s affairs, getting intel from Valentin.
Could it be that Jack’s release from Pentonville and his sudden reappearance are not the result of something positive, but rather something illicit?
