General Hospital Spoilers: Cullum Wants Rid of Dante, Pushes Cassius as New Police Commissioner?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) may start to view Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) as a problem that needs to be dealt with.

Dante showed up to grill Cullum at GH in the April 2 episode, but the conversation was full of tension.

Cullum lashed out over Dante questioning the victim, but Dante couldn’t shake the feeling that Cullum was hiding something.

The fact that Cullum knew to find Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) on Pier 55 seemed particularly odd to Dante.

Cullum doesn’t know who really shot him that night, but there are bigger issues in play.

The last thing Cullum wants is for Dante to go digging and uncover the shady operation he’s running with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

Plus, Dante’s attitude rubs Cullum the wrong way. It’s clear that Dante isn’t afraid of Cullum, who’s used to people around him cowering in fear.

Cullum can tell that Dante could be a hindrance to the work he’s trying to do with Sidwell, so he may ultimately want rid of him.

It’s easy to imagine Cullum wanting fake Nathan West aka Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) to slide in the police commissioner spot instead.

Of course, Cassius may balk if Cullum brings up this idea.

Since “Nathan” hasn’t been “back” on the force all that long, he may seriously doubt that he’d be promoted even if Dante were out of the picture.

Nevertheless, Cullum might suggest “Nathan’s” past time at the PCPD should count and argue that Cassius had better make it happen.

Having Port Charles’ police commissioner under his control would no doubt be a big advantage to Cullum.

Regardless, Cullum might think Dante needs to be removed from his position by any means necessary.

The easiest way might be to whisper in Sidwell’s ear about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) needing to suffer the same loss and suggesting a “son for a son” punishment.

In other words, Cullum might insist Sonny eliminated Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and deserves to lose Dante in exchange.

Although Cullum is actually the one who took out Marco, he won’t ever want Sidwell to know that!

All of this would put Cassius in a jam since Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) would be devastated if something happened to Dante.

Cassius might worry that it’d send Rocco over the edge and cause him to make a shooter confession.

This could leave Cassius on a mission to protect Dante while trying to navigate Cullum and Sidwell’s tricky orders.
