General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) will likely learn about Josslyn Jacks’s (Eden McCoy) WSB secret and the fact that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) kept it from her very soon.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) recruiting Joss to the agency and placing her life in danger has turned into a very messy situation, and the proverbial drama will hit the fan in the days and weeks to come.
At this point, too many people know about Joss’s new career path and Brennan’s role in it, so it’s only a matter of time before Carly finds out and all heck breaks loose.
The stickiness lies in that, while Brennan is Carly’s boyfriend and his betrayal will shatter their romance, Jason is Carly’s best friend.
He’s one of the very few people she wholeheartedly trusts in this world and learning that he found out about Joss’s WSB status and didn’t fill her in will rock her world.
But let’s rewind. Jason saved Josslyn (and by extension Carly) back in Croatia during the week of September 8-12.
Jason had no clue that Joss was at the 5 Poppies Resort in his mission to save Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) but jumped in and became her hero for the umpteenth time.
Jason is as loyal as they get, so when he makes a promise to keep a secret, those in his orbit know he won’t say anything.
After all, Joss is an adult and has every right to withhold information from her mother if she chooses.
But here’s where things get complicated, and why Jason will struggle with telling Carly.
While the mom has no “right” to know about her daughter’s WSB agent career, as her boyfriend was the one who recruited her and has lied to Carly about it, shouldn’t she be brought in the loop?
Carly will feel the sting of embarrassment and deception once everything comes out.
Plus, Carly loves being in the know about everything and everyone else’s business, so being in the dark about what’s going on in her own family – and relationship – will kill her.
She’ll not only be upset because Brennan manipulated Josslyn, but Carly will feel manipulated as well.
Still, despite this moral dilemma, Jason will probably keep Joss’s secret.
With that said, Jason (and others) have warned Carly about Brennan throughout the CarJack romance, so why should Jason be held accountable for spilling about what he knows?
He’s not one to say, “I told you so,” and keeping his Goddaughter’s confidence will also be a priority to him.
If Joss knows that she can trust Jason, then she’ll turn to him anytime she lands in a scary situation, so Jason may feel like it’s best to keep her secret in order to keep her safe.
Still, as the old adage goes, nothing remains undercover in the land of Port Charles for long.
Carly will find out about Joss – and Jason keeping her WSB job hush-hush, so, she’s sure to have a massive meltdown once this happens.
This week will be a pivotal point in the storyline and how it moves forward.
As per the GH preview, Carly is set to have a confrontation with Jason, and it seems as if she’ll get a sense, he knows something about “one of her kids” and is not telling her.
Jason will discreetly try to stall Carly and won’t tell her anything, which will be a bad move on his part as the secret will come out after this dramatic encounter.
Whether Carly overhears Brennan on the phone, or stumbles into PC’s WSB headquarters (she’s there all the time) and listens to Josslyn, Vaughn, and Brennan talk about a mission, she’ll find out the truth, and things will get ugly.
There’s also a possibility that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Jason talk about the situation, and Carly hears every awful detail.
General Hospital spoilers remind fans that, as Britt is in the know about Joss, too, and as there’s animosity that lingers between her and Carly, tensions are bound to explode, with Carly at the forefront of the drama.
