General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) never met a vendetta she didn’t like. Kristina entertains revenge schemes like Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) entertains guests—on the regular.
Which is why fans are blowing up social mediq after Friday’s fabulous cliffhanger in which Kristina was called to the stand in Willow Tait’s (Katelyn McMullen) trial for the shooting of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
That was plot twist we didn’t see coming. And, since soaps rarely waste time on inconsequential details, we predict that Kristina has more to do with this plot than it first appeared.
Let’s break down three reasons why Kristina could be the Drew’s would-be assassin!
1) Kristina admitted on the stand that she is trained in the use of firearms. She got that life skill during her stint in the Dawn of Day cult.
It has to be significant that the ADA asked this question.
Yes, it was in regard to Willow’s training in the cult, but we smell something fishy about this sudden plot twist.
In other words, it’s been shown that Kristina has the skill to be Drew’s shooter.
2) She also has motive. She is impulsive and has anger issues, and has every reason to want protect Michael from Drew and Willow’s custody shenanigans.
Would she go so far as to kill someone to ensure Michael gets custody? Of course she would, it’s in her playbook.
The smoking gun came from the Q mansion and Kristina had access to the house to see Michael and his kids.
In fact, she was the one who arranged the video chats for the kids with Michael.
3) Kristina has the temperament to shoot someone in the back. Not too long ago she tried to kill Ava Jerome (Maura West) by cutting her brake lines. And more recently she gleefully held Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) hostage in her mom’s basement.
Michael has a blind spot when it comes to Kristina. Last week he asked her for advice on a delicate matter, and this was a huge red flag concerning his cognitive ability. No one should duplicate Kristina’s actions. Ever.
But Michael’s willingness to take life advice from her points to the high regard he holds her in.
Would he protect her if he thought she was the shooter? You bet he would!
Michael would throw Willow under the bus to save Kristina, that’s a no-brainer.
It may be that Michael has a good reason to suspect his sister, or at the very least he knows she could be culpable.
