General Hospital Preview Week of September 1: Drew Takes a Bullet – Anna & Dante Ask Who Wants Congressman Dead

General Hospital (GH) spoilers preview video for the week of September 1-5 reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will take a bullet. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will ask who wants the congressman dead, so let’s talk about all the excitement happening in the coming episodes.

GH’s weekly promo features a jaw-dropping crime with Drew as the victim.

In the preview clip, Drew is enjoying a drink at home when someone catches him by surprise and fires a shot.

Of course, the show has been building to this for a while now.

Plenty of people have been delivering fatal threats to Drew lately, so GH writers have been laying the groundwork for a proper whodunit!

There’s no shortage of characters who want rid of Drew, so the promo leans into that angle as Dante and Anna investigate.

“How many people do you think want Drew Cain dead?” Anna asks Dante, who replies that it’s a long list.

Anna then wonders who’s at the top of it, so she’ll get some help from Dante as well as Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) when it comes to figuring out who pulled the trigger.

The preview video wraps up with some possible culprits, including Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and a wet-haired Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).

If this is a “one dark and stormy night” situation, Willow may look guilty if she’s soaked.

Fans might even see Willow lurking outside in the rain ahead of Drew’s gunshot shocker.

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) also make the promo suspect list.

It’s worth mentioning that Michael’s hair looks damp like Willow’s, so the writers might have him out in the storm, too.

That might be the show’s way of steering some extra suspicion in Michael’s direction.

However, things aren’t always as they seem on soaps, so there are bound to be some curveballs along the way.

We should mention that just because someone wants Drew dead doesn’t mean they’ll succeed in killing him.

Drew could survive the gunshot wound ahead, but the news of this crime will definitely make some waves in Port Charles no matter what!
