General Hospital (GH) spoilers question if Days of Our Lives (DOOL) alum Carson Boatman, who plays Johnny DiMera, is heading to the land of Port Charles.
While Boatman is currently seen on Days, he is no longer with the show; however, as the daytime drama films several months ahead of broadcast, the actor is still currently seen on Peacock soap.
Johnny’s official exit from DOOL won’t happen until 2027, but there’s always a possibility he could hop to the show in the interim.
Boatman recently had an interview with Soap Hub to talk about what’s next and did express his gratitude to Days for the experience.
Boatman revealed what a great place the show was, and leaked he’d be open to returning as Johnny DiMera at some point, if they’d have him.
With that said, the actor also relayed his willingness to explore other soap opportunities and noted he’d love to head over to General Hospital and see how it would be to dive into Port Charles’ life.
Still, who would the actor play on General Hospital? Carson could step into a recast role.
After all, with a babyface like Boatman’s he could become a SORASed Cameron Webber (last played by William Lipton).
Then again, if the show decides to bring back Dillon Quartermaine (last played by Robert Palmer Watkins), Boatman may be the perfect man for the job.
There’s always a chance Boatman could play a brand-new character – so only time will tell.
In the meantime, Boatman has been focusing on his music career since leaving Salem.
He released a new single titled ‘Wild Thing’ and is still a part of The Day Players band, which consists of both past and present actors from Days of Our Lives.
Boatman debuted on DOOL as Johnny DiMera in 2021 and was one of four Days of Our Lives cast members who were let go earlier this year, which included Johnny’s onscreen wife, Raven Bowens (Chanel DiMera), Ashley Puzemis (Holly Jonas), and Leo Howard (Tate Black).
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Carson Boatman could make a major splash if he were introduced into the land of Port Charles, so it’ll be interesting to see if he enters the show and the kind of drama his new or existing character could stir up.
