Kirsten Storms is an established actress, known for a variety of roles, especially her work on General Hospital. However, she has also been subject to rumors in her career. Recently, the actress broke her silence on a dark rumor surrounding her on social media.
General Hospital Star Kirsten Storms Shared A Story Concerning Events From Earlier This Year
As an actress, Storms is known for getting her start as a child actress, such as playing Zenon Kar in the Disney Channel’s Zenon films. However, she would soon establish herself as a prominent soap star.
In 1999, Storms joined the cast of Days of Our Lives, playing Isabella “Belle” Black for around five years. In 2005, she would take on one of her longest-running roles: Maxie Jones on General Hospital.

Throughout her career, however, Storms has often been the subject of rumors. Recently, she turned to Instagram to shed some light on a blog post sharing a story about her earlier this year. As she opened up, “I wanted to post this because even though my brain seems to be sorta lowkey rebelling against me, it does allow me to understand that we’ve all got times when things aren’t great.”
Storms also shared multiple images of text detailing her undergoing a brain scan in January 2025, following a 2021 surgery. As it read, Storms had dealt with symptoms that they felt could have been brain-related.
In the caption, however, Storms noted that the procedure led her to be the subject of an internet rumor. She shared, “A few days after I was discharged from the hospital, someone created a blog post that said I was in the hospital that weekend because I tried to ‘unalive’ myself.”
Storms Also Took Time To Show Her Thanks To The Emotional Support In Her Life, With One Co-Star In Particular
“I couldn’t understand why a person would make up something that terrible, when they had no idea why I was really there. There are a few really bad apples out there.”
By contrast, the photo slide continued on a more positive note, sharing details of Storms going on hiatus from work and even leaving California. It also shared that “Emme” was by her side during the 2021 craniotomy and hospital recovery. The posts linked to fellow General Hospital alum, Emme Rylan, who played Lulu Spencer on the soap. The post continued to talk about Storms and Rylan, crocheting sweaters together in St. Louis, with Storms thanking her for the emotional support she shared.

Back to the caption, Storms also continued to share her gratitude towards the support system in her everyday life. She continued, “We all know that…but there are people in my life who I am truly thankful to know. One of those individuals just made a sh*t load of sweaters with me. They are glorious.”
