Ingo Rademacher, formerly Jasper “Jax” Jacks on General Hospital, reunited with his colleague and friend, Derk Cheetwood (Max Giambetti), and promptly confused ABC fans who heard he’d moved to Florida. Read on to find out more.
Reuniting With Max
While Derk still occasionally appeared on the daytime drama, Ingo didn’t. In fact, he’s still bitter because he was let go for refusing to comply with COVID-19 mandates. That became obvious when he questioned how come Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) returned. Anyway, he wasn’t talking about all of that this week.
Taking to his Instagram account, Ingo Rademacher shared a photo of himself with Derk at the beach. Sun-tanned, blue skies, and what looked like a luxury resort’s pool behind them, the two smiled and posed for a selfie. But his caption confused some folks who speed-read it.
Confusion Over Location
The ABC alum said in his caption:
Look who’s back in LA (lower Alabama) one of my favorite people. Always great to catch up with. @derkcheetwood and family. aka Max. Love ya buddy. @caricheetwood
That reference to “LA” confused some fans who thought Ingo was talking about California. Meanwhile, others were puzzled by “Lower Alabama.” After all, most people know it refers to places like Baldwin, and Mobile counties. However, those in the know understand that locally, folks in the Florida Panhandle might also use that expression.
One fan penned, “I thought you were in Florida! We miss you on tv! You are a great actor and so handsome!”
Well, the real-life Jasper “Jax” Jacks replied to that and other comments by saying, “This part of Florida we also call L.A.”

Many General Hospital fans who know the area well already knew that Derk Cheetwood and his friend Ingo were together in Florida. Many other folks commented about the reunion. And, it seems that a lot of GH fans want to see Ingo reprise his role on the show. However, that seems unlikely.
