General Hospital Fans Ask Why Sonny’s Failing to Protect Family – Mob Boss Repeatedly Dropping the Ball

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans are asking why Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is failing to protect his family from all these enemy attacks. The mob boss has repeatedly dropped the ball in recent months, so something needs to change.

First, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) got caught in the explosion at Sonny’s penthouse and suffered serious burns as a result.

That hit was meant for Sonny, but he still allowed Michael to land in harm’s way.

Michael could’ve faced a grim fate – and it’s not the first time he’s ended up in the middle of mob danger.

Now that Charlie’s Pub has been set ablaze, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) has clearly become a target – most likely due to Sonny’s feud with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

On social media, some GH viewers have been speaking out about Sonny’s inability to protect the people he loves.

You’d think with the recent threats to Sonny’s life and his decision to turn down Sidwell’s deal, he’d have some extra safeguards in place.

Instead, Kristina had to face the flames and watch the bar Sonny gave her go up in smoke!

Sonny should’ve done more to make sure Kristina and all his other children were in a bubble of protection, but he’s obviously lost control of the situation.

Will Sonny be able to regain that control or will things get worse before they get better?

Since Sidwell has been looking at surveillance photos of Sonny’s other loved ones, there’s certainly a risk to them, too.

Sonny will plot revenge in the coming episodes, which could escalate his conflict with Sidwell and lead to more moves against his family.

Although Sonny will no doubt beef up protection as best as he can, it may not be enough.

Sonny needs to work harder at keeping his children and grandchildren safe from threats like Sidwell or anyone else who might want to harm them.

It’s time to pull out all the stops when it comes to defeating Sidwell and restoring some peace in Port Charles.
