General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that a winter storm forced a change of plans at the studio, so we’ve got some comings and goings news to share. Due to inclement weather and the transportation issues that followed, a GH actor had to be replaced for some pivotal scenes.
SOD confirms that Daniel Cosgrove (Ezra Boyle) got stuck on the East Coast when he was supposed to be filming back in January.
Cosgrove’s flight was canceled once that winter storm we mentioned came rolling in, so he couldn’t make it to Los Angeles in time.
That’s why the show had to rely on an emergency recast to step up and play Ezra for a couple episodes.
Patrick Scott Lewis was chosen as the new-albeit-temporary Ezra, so fans can expect the character to look a little different on March 2 and March 16.
It turns out this isn’t Lewis’ first rodeo since he’s actually done a guest appearance on the ABC soap before.
Back in December 2024, Lewis portrayed Mr. Thomas, who derailed Kai Taylor’s (Jens Austin Astrup) discussion with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) for a photo opportunity involving his son and the PCU football phenom.
You might also recognize Patrick Scott Lewis from his appearances on Monster: The Ed Gein Story, Vanished in Death Valley, Elkhorn, Castle, Cold Case and more.
As for what’ll be happening in Lewis’ first episode as Ezra, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will see her rival in a different light.
Ezra already hinted about them being in the same boat and suggested he got in too deep with Sidwell before realizing the level of danger involved.
Viewers may hear Ezra elaborate on that and perhaps acknowledge that he’s not the man he wants to be.
Ezra has mostly been depicted as a selfish sleazeball up to now, so the show’s trying to give him some layers.
Perhaps Ezra’s nights with Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) were a way to cope with his loneliness and all the awful things Sidwell constantly pushes him to do.
Whatever the case, General Hospital spoilers say Ezra will confide in Laura on March 2, so he’ll let her see more of the real him as Patrick Scott Lewis temporarily fills in.
