General Hospital spoilers suggest that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) will get shot during the week of September 1-5, so could his daughter, Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante) be the culprit who pulls the trigger?
Fans could feel a ‘who dun it’ storyline was on the horizon for Drew for a long while; however, as multiple characters have threatened his life in the past week or so, it’s become clearer that the cut-throat congressman would get attacked in some fashion, very soon.
The ABC soap dropped its weekly preview, and it looks like Drew is about to get shot at some point over the next four days.
Whether or not Drew passes away remains to be seen, but as per the promo video, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will be on the case, and they have a ton of suspects to sift through.
From Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) to Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard); the list does go on and on as Drew has racked up a ton of enemies in the little town in recent months.
Even Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) recently talked about how expendable Drew was – and Sidwell is the type of character that doesn’t like to leave loose ends, so fans can add him as a possible culprit.
With that said, daytime drama audiences know that with any good ‘who dun it?’ storyline, the murderer always ends up being someone everyone least expects.
This is where Scout comes in. She’s a sweet, innocent little girl who’s kind, loving, and always does the right thing.
Still, the child has been through a tremendous amount of trauma in less than a year, and her dad has paid very little attention to her during this time.
He’s also been a major source of her stress. Scout lost her mother, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), on Halloween last year and has been through a whirlwind of change since.
Drew snatched her out of the Quartermaine mansion and away from her brothers, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
Shortly after that, she was thrown into a new blended family with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and her kids.
While Scout is related to and familiar with, Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko), the adjustment of learning a new routine with other kids had to have been hard.
Just as quickly as Willow, Wiley, and Amelia entered her life, they too left, and Willow’s big scene at the altar the day of her wedding to Drew could not have been easy for Scout to witness.
Once again, the young girl lost more people in her life, thanks to her dad’s poor choices.
Add in the fact that she is no longer allowed to spend time with Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) or Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), and this could cause the girl to snap.
She recently tried to reach out to Danny, and Drew blew the entire situation out of proportion.
Instead of listening to Scout, her dad doubled down, and now the little girl is completely alienated from her family, other than her dad.
This entire situation may be far too much for Scout to handle, so will she decide to take matters into her own hands … literally?
General Hospital spoilers note that when it comes to murder mysteries in the land of Port Charles, fans should always expect the unexpected, and Scout being the one to shoot Drew is pretty out there, but also very plausible.
