General Hospital (GH) comings and goings reveal that Veronica “Ronnie” Bard’s (Erika Slezak) exit is looming. Fans also just said goodbye to Lois Cerullo as Rena Sofer departed the role – at least for the time being.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) shared some emotional scenes with Lois in the October 24 episode.
Although Brook Lynn isn’t prepared to forgive Lois and get their relationship fully back on track, she’s softened toward her mom and is going to miss her.
That’s because Lois got Brook Lynn’s approval on a new job that’ll take her to some international hotspots.
Lois will be serving as the manager of Blaze aka Allison Rogers’ (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) upcoming tour, so she’ll be off traveling the world for a while.
That’ll give Brook Lynn’s heart a chance to heal a bit more while Lois waits for her to be ready to bond again.
The second Brook Lynn needs her, Lois has vowed to come running home to her.
This means Lois is getting an open-ended exit that should pave the way for her eventual return.
A source at GH confirmed to SOD that “the door is always open” when it comes to Sofer reprising the role somewhere down the line.
Of course, we should also talk about Ronnie’s imminent departure since Erika Slezak has already wrapped filming on her short-term gig.
Ronnie was never meant to stick around for long, so viewers can expect her to leave Port Charles in the not-too-distant future.
The show’s already been dropping some clues about that in the dialogue, especially now that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is hoping to buy the Quartermaine mansion from Ronnie.
Whether Ronnie agrees to that sale or not, she’ll make a major announcement during the week of October 27-31.
That could involve selling the Quartermaine house and leaving town since Ronnie is finding strife instead of happiness in PC.
However, Ronnie will leave plenty of drama behind – and it’s possible she could return down the road.
Something’s obviously up with Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) will, so Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) may expose Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) if he’s behind the shady changes that gave Ronnie control of the mansion.
