Amy Duggar King is back with the second season of the docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. During the first episode, the Duggar cousin spoke about the response the first season had gotten. She also had a few things to say concerning her uncle, Jim Bob Duggar.
Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets Recently Returned For A New Season
Amy is a member of the Duggar family, which came to attention through TLC series like 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On. She is the only child of Terry Jordan and Deanna Duggar.
In her personal life, Amy married Dillon King in 2015. Together, they share a son, Daxton, together.
Back in 2023, the Duggar family became the subject of the Prime Video docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets. Amy, who has been featured on the series, recently returned as the show just dropped its second season.
During the first episode of the new season, Amy read a statement from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar that came out around the time of the series’ original premiere. The statement read, “The recent ‘documentary’ that talks about our family is sad because in it we see the media and those with ill intentions hurting people we love.”

Amy Touched On The Response The First Season Had Gotten, Beyond Her Aunt & Uncle’s Statement
During the read, Amy could be seen rolling her eyes. This statement continued, “We have always believed that the best chance to repair damaged relationships, or to reconcile differences, is through love in a private setting.”
Amy then shared her own thoughts, noting, “[Jim Bob] ticks me off. He just does. Oh man, I wanna tell him what’s up so bad.”
Amy continued, focusing on the initial response the first season had gotten. As noted by Parade, this season touched on both the Duggar Family and the Institute of Basic Life Principles, the religious organization of which they were a part of.
Amy noted, “What a ride it’s been. … Social media just exploded. All of these people that were not in the IBLP craziness could relate in some way. So many stories of just really crazy belief systems.”
