General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) secret will leak to Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), so it looks like Ava Jerome (Maura West) will expose Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) pro bono lie.
Since Willow needed a good lawyer on her side, Nina paid Ric to make sure she still had one after her split from Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Nina suspected Willow wouldn’t accept the help if she knew her mom was footing the bill, so she forced Ric to keep quiet about her involvement.
Instead, Ric told Willow that he was taking the case pro bono, so that’s the story Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was told, too.
However, that secret apparently won’t stay under wraps for much longer!
Since Ava, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) are holding Ric hostage, they don’t need people poking around and asking too many questions.
There were concerns about Elizabeth and Willow causing problems, but Ava hinted about a way to kill two birds with one stone.
Ava knows Nina paid Ric to represent Willow and that he’s just been pretending to handle the case for free out of the kindness in his heart.
It seems likely Ava will leak the truth to Willow somehow and expect her to give Liz updates as well.
In the September 16 episode, Ava will tell Kristina that after Elizabeth speaks with Willow, she’ll no longer want anything to do with Ric.
We also know Willow’s about to bang on Nina’s door for a confrontation, so everything fits for her to find out her mom paid for Ric’s representation.
Of course, Willow will think this is just one more way Nina has deceived her. This will prove Nina has learned nothing as far as Willow’s concerned.
Willow might even blame Nina for Ric bailing on her case now that he’s off supposedly doing a digital detox at some retreat.
Nina only wanted to help Willow try to get her kids back, so she’ll lash out at her ungrateful daughter soon enough.
Ava may try to keep her hands clean depending on how she leaks this secret, but it may be pretty easy for Nina to figure out who’s responsible!
