Sister Wives is returning with new episodes, with TLC already dropping a new trailer. According to the teaser, fans will see plenty of drama amid fun moments. Things take an interesting turn, however, as the trailer gives Kody the last word.
A Teaser Promised ‘New Adventures’ For TLC’s Sister Wives
Sister Wives is a TLC series that started out revolving around the polygamist Brown family. This includes Kody Brown, his current wife Robyn Brown, and exes Meri, Janelle and Christine, as well as their extended families.
Fans originally saw Season 19 debut in September 2024. However, a recent teaser just showed that new episodes are right around the corner.
TLC has just debuted a new trailer for Sister Wives as it heads into Season 20. A tagline read, “The Browns are back and looking to the future! Healing old wounds, exploring new adventures, and redefining what it means to be a plural family. The new season of #SisterWives premieres Sunday, Sept 28 at 10/9c.”
The trailer starts out with Meri telling a friend she’s about to try something new.
Teasing a new love life, Meri shared, “I have never done speed dating before.” The scene then cuts to Meri talking with a man at such an event. During the conversation, she shared that her “love language” was “physical touch.” Meri also seemed to like the man, at least admitting he was “handsome” in an aside.
Christine is then seen with her husband David Woolley. While the two are seen out to dinner, Christine teases that David and Kody could “hang out.” While the two initially have a good laugh about the idea, things then cut to Kody and David together at a race track. Both men were even seen wearing helmets.
A New Addition To The Brown Family Was Teased Before Segueing Into More Drama
Meanwhile, Janelle shares that she feels a need to “get out.” With support from a friend, she changes her look and goes out to share the “new” her in New Orleans.
Janelle also speaks to Meri, noting that she’s ready to sever ties with Kody spiritually. As she shared, “We talked about the spiritual divorce, and I think I’m ready.” For her part, Meri showed her support.
Things cut to Kody, who then revealed to Robyn that another woman contacted him. As he shared, “I got another one of those emails from some woman asking sort of like to get to know us for the purpose of joining the family.” While Kody seemed to laugh about the situation, Robyn didn’t appear too happy with the idea.
Things Ended With Kody Getting An Ominous ‘Last Laugh’
Things then took a dramatic turn concerning the sale of Coyote Pass land in Arizona. Robyn shared she didn’t want to sell the land “until everything is perfectly fair.” As the family could be seen on the land, Robyn also shared that she was angry over the situation, noting that “there’s been more effort put into creating pain and hurting each other.”
Kody also admitted that “would love healing” with his former wives. Christine, Janelle, and Meri didn’t seem to keen on reconnecting, however. In particular, Janelle shared, “Tell him that we’ll never be friends.”
The trailer then ended on an interesting note. Kody could be heard saying, “Listen, I have this wife. Her name is Robyn, and she would never let me do anything naughty, as bad as I want to do it.” He then, presumably jokingly, broke out into a cartoonishly evil laugh.
