Ryan Paevey Confirms General Hospital Comeback
Ryan Paevey took a step back from acting in 2024. At the time, he was a well-known Hallmark star. His role on General Hospital propelled him to Hallmark Hunk status. Now he’s returning to his roots and heading back to daytime.
Days after the actor was teasing big news on social media, Deadline confirmed that Ryan Paevey is returning to General Hospital. He told the outlet that he got a call from the show’s executive producer, Frank Valentin. The two discussed the actor returning to the soap.
“We talked a bit and he asked would I consider returning for awhile, talking story, floated different story ideas involving different time commitments of me, and I thought if we’re going to do this we should really do it and surprise the fans with a meaty storyline,” Ryan Paevey shared. It sounds like he’ll be back for more than just a few episodes.
When Fans Can See Him On-Screen
The return comes on the heels of Kelly Thiebaud returning as Britt. Ryan Paevey played Britt’s only sibling, Nathan West. Nathan was shot and killed in 2018 by his father, Cesar Faison, when the actor opted to leave the show to focus on his growing Hallmark career.
Nathan’s death was heartbreaking for Maxie (Kirsten Storms,) who was pregnant with their child. She later gave birth to their son, James.
General Hospital fans were devastated by Ryan Paevey’s exit. Now that he’s returning, there is just one question: Is he playing Nathan West or a new character?
Since his sister Britt is alive and well, it’s possible that Nathan somehow survived the shooting, too. Fans have speculated that their bio mother, Dr. Liesl Obrecht, played by Kathleen Gati, is running some kind of secret lab.
