Jonathan Jackson’s first acting job was in 1993 when he was tapped to play Lucky Spencer on General Hospital. The legacy character is the offspring of the soap’s famous couple, Luke and Laura. He left the show in 1999 and returned in 2009 before leaving again in 2011.
He was off the soap for over ten years before making his big return in 2024. But the return fell flat with viewers and the character didn’t have much of a storyline. Jonathan Jackson Nabs Daytime Emmy Nomination After Exit
Jonathan Jackson’s recent stint on General Hospital didn’t last long. But it was long enough to impress the Daytime Emmys. The actor returned to the ABC soap last summer for what was billed as a long-term contract. However, it was announced in June that he was wrapping up his story and Lucky was headed out of town.
The 2025 Daytime Emmys are already set up for a huge showdown with talk show hosts Hoda Kotb and Kelly Clarkson. Three of the four remaining soaps – The Young and The Restless, General Hospital, and Days Of Our Lives – were nominated in the daytime drama categories.
