Julie Shares Harrowing Prison Experience, Alleges Cruel Treatment Despite Her Declining Health!

Chrisley Knows Best alum Julie Chrisley spoke out very recently on how prison neglect led to her alarming health crisis. She slammed their inhumane conditions that happened for straight two years. As she had faced the harsh consequences of bank fraud and tax evasion charges with Todd, she broke her silence after one month.

Savannah claimed that without a presidential pardon, she wouldn’t be able to release her parents. She pleaded so hard through campaigns that she finally got answers to her earnest prayers. She looked excited when she picked up Todd from his federal prison exit door. Chase, meanwhile, welcomed Julie, who showed up with brunette hair, shocking everyone. While Todd and Julie are grateful for the pardon day, he is unapologetic about his crimes.

Chrisley Knows Best: Julie Details Her Emotional Reunion With Todd!

Todd and Julie Chrisley have been living apart for 28 months, having been placed in different federal prison facilities. Neither could they talk on the phone nor visit each other. So, it was the most emotional moment for the husband and wife duo who once thought they might look into one another’s eyes after a decade or more.

Upon Todd and Julie’s first interview with Lara Trump for “My View With Lara Trump,” they discussed how prison challenged them. As the host asked them how Julie felt when she saw Todd after two and a half years, she recalled and told her that the sight was surreal. She shared that people expected it to be weird and full of awkwardness. Fortunately, Todd said that it was a feeling of homecoming for him.

Chrisley Knows Best: Julie Calls Prison “Unsafe!”

Julie Chrisley recently appeared on ABC News’ “IMPACT x Nightline: The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup,” along with Savannah and Todd. When the interviewer questioned her about her life experience behind Kentucky bars, she claimed everything inside affected her physically. She explained that she could start noticing how her body was weakened.

Julie said that she suddenly developed asthma in jail. During the Unlocked podcast episode with Savannah, she revealed that her mom’s prison cell had no air conditioning when the heat index rose from 105 to 110 degrees. While the visitation room had airflow, Julie had to live in a pathetic living situation inside.

Savannah noted that Julie suffered from exhaustion, with no one like service men attending to her. “It is so beyond inhumane,” she added. Todd agreed with his daughter, saying the jail is “disgustingly filthy.” Though he was located in a Florida facility, he couldn’t stop calling out the black mold on the ceiling.

Later, Todd also claimed that there was asbestos, lead paint, and spoiled food all over. Hence, Julie said that she was highly unsafe during all of these. Not only did her health conditions deteriorate in an unhygienic setting, but she also lost her appetite to a great extent. The aftermath of prison life is better because the pair is back with their kids. Stay tuned to TV Season & Spoilers for further updates.
