Erika Slezak, who played Viki Lord for 42 years on One Life to Live, is joining the cast of General Hospital in an unspecified role, according to her official website.
In a post on the website, the administrator states, “Erika has just informed me she has signed a short-term contract with ABC’s GENERAL HOSPITAL.
At this time, Erika does not know which character she will be playing or when her scenes will air, but is excited to be working again with Executive Producer Frank Valentini and the cast of GH! More details to follow as they become available.”
Slezak portrayed Viki Lord from 1971 until OLTL’s online finale in 2013. She was nominated for 9 Daytime Emmy awards as Outstanding Lead Actress for the role and won 6. She holds the record for most wins by an actress in that category and is second to Anthony Geary for most wins for playing one character. Geary has 8 for his portrayal of Luke Spencer on General Hospital.
