Goodbye, Lucky Spencer
General Hospital fans had a sneaking suspicion that Lucky Spencer was on his way out during the Thursday, June 5 episode. After all, Lucky proposed to Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), but much to his surprise, along with GH viewers, the nurse said no.
Lucky then hinted that he couldn’t stay in Port Charles, knowing that he and Liz could never be together. Audiences were shocked, and shortly after, the news hit that Jonathan Jackson and Lucky were exiting the little town.
Fans should expect his departure to take place sometime during the week of June 9-13.
Lucky’s recent return in August 2024 started off strong but fizzled fast. The GH writers didn’t exactly give the legacy character a solid storyline, and now it seems that Lucky is on his way out of his hometown, once again.
Welcome Back, Kelly Thiebaud!
It was a flood of emotion for fans over the past two days when they learned that Jonathan was leaving the ABC soap, and the next day, they found out that Kelly Thiebaud was returning! Although the show remains hush-hush on whether or not she’ll be reprising her Dr. Britt Westbourne role or playing a new character.
Thiebaud played The Britch from 2012 (on and off) until 2023, so it’ll be interesting to see the actress back on canvas.
Other Casting Notes
In other casting news, GH viewers were happy to see Marshall Ashford pop in for a quickie visit this week, as Robert Gossett reprised the role. In addition, actress Tess Auberjonois played the judge residing in the Corinthos versus Corinthos case, Eva Heran.
