A few weeks ago, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), came to the conclusion that the only way to save her daughter from herself, and decades in jail, was to have her involuntarily committed.
She had found out that Kristina Corinthos (Kate Mansi) had cut the brake lines on Ric Lansing’s (Rick Hearst) car, causing a near-fatal crash. He wasn’t the intended target, Ava Jerome (Maura West) was, but that’s hardly the point.
General Hospital Spoilers: Kristina Has Been Publicly Spiraling For Months
Ever since Kristina accidentally fell out of a window last summer, killing the baby that she was carrying for her sister, Molly Lansing Davis (Kristen Vaganos), she has blamed Ava for everything that goes wrong in her life.
She blames her for the fall, she blames her for custody issues with her little sister, and she also blames her for all sorts of other things. Instead of getting help and learning to move on, Kristina has stayed stuck as everyone has watched.
Deciding to cut the brake lines on Ava’s car was an escalation in the wrong direction. The fact that she chose the wrong car and nearly killed Molly’s father instead of Ava only makes things more complicated.
When the truth finally gets out (because it always does), Kristina will be facing 3 attempted murder charges, with at least 20 years in jail if convicted.
General Hospital Spoilers: Diane Is The Voice Of Reason
Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) has drawn up those commitment papers once before and Alexis chickened out of signing them.
Then Molly stumbled onto them and brought them to Kristina. The girls confronted their mother and nothing was settled, least of all Kristina’s sanity. Tensions are running high, but the stakes for Kristina remain the same.
Diane is still the only one able to look at this whole situation objectively and she knows that the clock is ticking for Kristina. She needs to get help before she is arrested and choices are taken away from the family, so Diane approaches
Alexis again. New paperwork has been printed out and again, Diane makes a plea for Alexis to use her head.
Aside from the obvious legal ramifications, Kristina needs psychological help. If Alexis doesn’t help her daughter then no one else is going to come to her rescue.
What do you think will happen next? Will Alexis commit Kristina?
