General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) is once again having problems with his ex-wife, Sheree Burton.
Thanks to some custody drama, Steve has forced Sheree back to court in hopes of getting a judge to make things right.
TMZ got their hands on some court documents that offer up details on Steve’s issues with Sheree and the decisions she’s been making regarding their 11-year-old daughter, Brooklyn.
Steve scored joint legal and physical custody in 2023 following his divorce from Sheree.
However, Sheree hasn’t been cooperating with that custody settlement according to Steve.
Based on Steve’s allegations in the court docs, Sheree is going against the custody rules and is snubbing him on custodial time for July.
Steve insists that Sheeree has turned this into a “pattern of unilateral decision making and deliberate obstruction…”
As a result, Steve feels like he’s not getting the parental time that he was promised and that the court ordered Sheree to give him.
There’s supposed to be a set schedule, but Steve has complained about Sheree putting Brooklyn in a new program that lasts for six weeks in California.
That goes against Steve’s end of the custody bargain, so he’s willing to play hardball with Sheree in court.
Bottom line, Steve has a big problem with Sheree putting their daughter in the middle of unnecessary strife between them and has indicated that he feels like a victim of Sheree’s manipulation.
The documents show that Steve’s pushing for the court to enforce Sheree’s end of the custody agreement and sanction her with a $5,000 fine.
We certainly wish Steve Burton the best when it comes to getting his custody issues resolved.
In the meantime, GH fans can look forward to Steve’s return to the role of Jason Morgan this summer.
Steve Burton will be reporting back to the studio in June, so it won’t be long until he’s stepping into Jason’s shoes again.
Jason’s loved ones will have to keep getting along without him for a while, but Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) could all use him right about now!
