General Hospital Casting Shocker: Jonathan Bennett’s Surprise Casting Has Fans Buzzing

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Jonathan Bennett, known for his iconic Aaron Samuels role in the 2004 smash comedy, Mean Girls, is slated to join the ABC soap.

CDL has all the juicy details about Bennett’s character and his arrival, so let’s unpack everything we know.

First off, the actor will be playing a new role on the canvas, known as Joe Fitzpatrick.

No word on who Joe will be sharing scenes with, what brings him to Port Charles, or even what his storyline is about, so it’ll be interesting to see how Bennett debuts.

Speaking of his arrival, it is being reported that Joe will start appearing in storylines as of May, which is perfect timing since it is a sweeps month.

Frank Valentini, General Hospital’s executive producer, chimed in on Bennett joining the cast, releasing a statement to SOD.

He had this to say, “We’re so excited to have Jonathan joining our cast. He’s a tremendous talent and will be a fantastic addition to GH.”

Getting a major film star to join the cast is quite the coup! In addition to his Mean Girls fame, Bennett is also known to Hallmark Channel fans.

The actor has not only appeared in seven movies for the network, but also produced and hosted its reality TV show, “Finding Mr. Christmas”.

With that said, the actor has also hosted a slew of shows for the Food Network as well, which include Cupcake Wars, Halloween Wars, and Cake Wars.

In addition, Bennett participated in Season 19 of Dancing With the Stars and was also on the second celebrity installment of Big Brother in 2019.

Fun fact about the actor: General Hospital won’t be Bennett’s first time on a soap opera. In 2001, he joined the cast of All My Children (AMC) playing the character of J.R. Chandler.

He left AMC in 2002, and two years later, was cast in the role of Mean Girls. The rest, as they say, is history!

General Hospital spoilers suggest that Joe Fitzpatrick’s arrival in PC should be explosive, so fans need to stay tuned to the ABC soap to see how he enters storylines.
