General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) may confide in Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) about how Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) helped save the day for him and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) – will she take what she knows to Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna)?
There are a lot of moving pieces to this storyline, so let’s unpack this interesting plot twist.
During the Friday, April 3 episode, the scenes between Curtis and Nina may have seemed like filler dialogue; however, upon reflection, the clips might serve a bigger purpose.
Nina and Curtis cleared the air and made amends for all their past indiscretions, from Curtis telling Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) about Nina’s affair with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) on their wedding day to Nina throwing Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) under the bus during Willow’s trial to “save” her daughter.
Nina and Curtis have been friends for a very long time, so many General Hospital fans were happy to see the twosome put their negativity behind them and move forward.
Still, is this all part of a bigger plan? Fast forward to the Wednesday, April 8 episode, Curtis and Jordan were involved in a near-fatal car crash, with a ton of question marks linked to who caused their vehicle to veer off the road.
One thing is clear: had Valentin not shown up when he did and helped Curtis get Jordan out of the car, she’d be a goner by now.
Not only did Valentin call 9-1-1 for the couple, but the vehicle also ended up blowing up in flames mere seconds after the men pulled Jordan out.
While Jordan will fight for her life in the days ahead, at least she has a life to still fight for!
Of course, once the two were away from danger and he could hear the paramedics coming, Valentin slipped back into the woods and into hiding.
After all, he may be a hero on all accounts, but he’s also still a WSB fugitive out on the run! This brings us to the Nina factor.
Curtis believes he can trust Nina, even though she’s failed him miserably in the past. The two made amends and are working towards rebuilding trust.
As Nina does have a connection with Valentin, will Curtis confide in his friend about her ex’s heroic act?
With that said, Nina might be placed in a major pickle. After all, Brennan has been breathing down her neck to gather intel on where Valentin might be.
Nina is very close to Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) – well, she was once – and Brennan’s thought process was to have Nina fish the teen girl for information regarding Valentin’s location.
Nina has been unsuccessful at this, mainly because Charlotte overheard a conversation between Nina and Brennan and no longer trusts her stepmom.
As Brennan keeps pushing the issue with Nina and threatens to re-release the street surveillance video footage of Willow driving around Drew’s neighborhood at the time of his shooting, something he “erased” during her trial, will Nina betray Curtis by running to Brennan with this intel?
General Hospital spoilers suggest Nina will once again be placed in a moral dilemma; however, if history dictates anything, she’ll do all she can to protect Willow, even if that means throwing Curtis – and Valentin – under the bus!
