General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of March 30 to April 3 suggest that Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) romance with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) could officially be over.
Although fans know the relationship was done a long while ago when Carly found out that Brennan recruited her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to the WSB agency.
Still, General Hospital viewers saw Carly pretend to be into Brennan and keep her romance on track, even though she’s got the ick from the Port Charles WSB head.
Carly was hiding her true feelings not only to cover up Joss’s WSB secret – and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) spilling the beans – but also to pursue revenge against Brennan.
With that said, everything has changed now that the WSB extradited Jason to parts unknown for shooting WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
It won’t take Carly long to find out that Jack led the WSB pack by snagging Jason from the PCPD and taking him away.
It’s been a pride-swallowing chore for Carly to fake still being in love with Jack in recent weeks.
While she’s tried to keep him at bay where bedroom activities are concerned, she’s had to hop between the sheets now and again to keep the lie alive.
But will she continue her charade in light of what’s happened to Jason?
During this week’s General Hospital preview, a clip is shown of Carly and Jack in his WSB office.
Carly is visibly upset when she lashes out at Brennan, saying, “You wanna help me? Why did Jason shoot Cullum?”
There’s no way Brennan will divulge WSB intel to Carly, even though they are romantically linked, so will this be a good reason for Carly to finally dump him?
As she was sworn to secrecy about Joss being in the WSB, she couldn’t exactly break up with him before, but Jason being placed into WSB custody could give her the pass she’d been looking for.
Sure, part of the reason Carly stayed with Brennan for so long was to gather intel.
Carly and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have been plotting against Brennan for months, and with Carly being the WSB head’s kryptonite, she used this to gather information to help her stowaway.
With that said, as the WSB has taken Jason away and stripped him of his basic human rights, Carly may not be able to fake it any longer.
Plus, as the old saying goes, there is more than one way to skin a cat.
Carly and Valentin could go another route to bring down Brennan and secure Valentin’s freedom, and as she’s cozied up to Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), he provides another way of getting information.
There’s also the elephant in the room: the fact that Carly is pursuing a romance with Valentin.
Carly’s a lot of things, but sleeping with two men at the same time is not her style … any more that is!
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Carly will finally have the perfect excuse to set herself free of her romance with Brennan; however, will he be thrown for a loop once she does, and will this heighten any suspicion on his part where Carly is concerned?
