General Hospital Spoilers: Britt Abandoned By Jason, Panics With Lucas

General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of March 23-27 reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) won’t end up meeting Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) at their location to skip town, which could cause the good doctor’s old abandonment issues to resurface.

As fans know, Jason and Britt were slated to leave Port Charles during the Friday, March 20 episode, but it looks like the henchman will get too caught up in some drama to ultimately meet her.

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) approached Jason near the close of the March 20 show in the parking lot of Danny Morgan’s (Asher Antonyzyn) basketball game with strict instructions to haul his friend into the PCPD station, coming from the WSB, of course.

As per the General Hospital weekly preview, Jason and Dante will have a standoff in the days ahead.

It looks like Jason will punch Dante, take off, but somehow also have a confrontation with WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) at the docks.

Another clip in the promo shows Jason on the ground, seemingly at the spot he was supposed to meet Britt (but she’s not there) as Cullum is about to strike Stone Cold down with a steel baton.

Will Cullum hit Jason and then throw him into the water, or possibly strike him and place the man in an undisclosed WSB prison?

Either way, fans know that Jason is heading off canvas as actor Steve Burton takes a short break from the ABC soap to enjoy time with his family.

But let’s rewind. When Jason first rescued Britt from the 5 Poppies Resort, the good doctor was hesitant to reunite with him.

After years of being burned by Jason, Britt wanted to be with a man who put her first, while Jason was prone to prioritizing Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and his work with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

It took months for Britt to trust Jason in this regard, and he had finally proved himself enough for her to allow him back in her heart.

Jason heading out of town to protect Britt from Cullum and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) seemed to solidify his commitment to her, too.

Unfortunately, Jason will get caught up in drama this week, unbeknownst to Britt, leaving her at the docks feeling abandoned by his promises, once again.

Without knowing exactly how Jason exits the canvas, Britt may wonder if Jason just took off without her, leaving her stranded.

If Cullum knocks Jason out and throws him over the pier, thinking he’s passed, or even takes Jason and holds him hostage somewhere, the WSB director will not tell anyone what he’s done.

Poor Britt will be left to continue the cold fusion project and still be at the mercy of both Cullum and Sidwell, so she’ll feel hopeless in her predicament.

As Jason is slated to attack Dante and then run off, Britt may also believe that Jason skipped town without her, which may cause further resentment.

Either way, Jason will end up looking selfish in his actions, even though his intentions will be noble.

There’s also the Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) factor. In the aftermath of Jason’s disappearance, Brad will likely be in Britt’s ear, reminding her that he “told her so” where Jason is concerned.

This banter from Brad will further heighten Britt’s animosity toward Jason, and harden her heart.

General Hospital spoilers note that either way, it feels as if Britt and Jason’s romance will experience further obstacles as he’ll be gone for three months (at least) and upon his return, the doctor may build even bigger walls to prohibit the henchman from hurting her any further.
