David Woolley Calls Out Kody Brown’s “Bulls**t” Apology to Ex-Wife Christine on ‘Sister Wives’ Season 20 Tell-All; Says Kody Violated “Bro Code”

On Sunday’s Tell-All Part 2 episode of Sister WivesDavid Woolley reflected on the face-to-face conversation he and wife Christine Brown had with Christine’s ex-husband Kody this season, admitting that the “weird” encounter left him angry and wondering why he was part of the conversation.

During Sunday’s episode, the topic of Kody’s infamous ex-wife apology tour was addressed, during which David– who married Christine in 2023– told host Suki Krishnan that he wasn’t a fan of Kody’s choice of words at the time, particularly when Kody expressed the love he had for his ex-wife.  (As fans know, Kody had previously insisted that he had never actually loved Christine, despite marrying her and having six children with her.)

David was none-too-happy with Kody’s declaration, insisting that The Curled One violated Bro Code.

“Get him, David! Aim for a kidney!”

“ … I call bulls**t on that because, to me, it’s not about him and [Christine] anymore,” David told Suki. “They’ve been gone for three to four years now. It’s a bro code that you just don’t cross, and you don’t tell your ex-wife in front of her husband right now, ‘Hey, I did love you.’ That’s just wrong, flat out wrong.”

David went on to admit that, while he was “cool” about Kody’s comments at the time, he only extended an invite to Kody to go off-roading in Moab, Utah, as a “test” to see where Kody was at with everything.

As for the face-to-face conversation itself, David insisted it was nothing but an opportunity for Kody to say what he wanted to say, not an attempt for Kody to make amends with anyone.

“ … He had to get his point across and that was it,” David said. “It’s all about what he wants, it’s not about what Christine wants. It’s not what’s [in the] best interest for what this family is, [it’s] what he wants to do.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, David Woolley”

As fans saw earlier this season, after receiving her apology from Kody, Christine expressed that, like David, she also found it “weird” for Kody to bring up his past feelings for her in the presence of her current husband.

“Again, you just got to let that go,” she told viewers of Kody’s remarks. “Look, I remember what it was like, but I’ve got a new husband here and now and it’s weird, right? It’s weird, man. That’s a weird thing to say.

“ … [for Kody] to [say], ‘I used to love you,’” she continued. “I can’t imagine what’s going through David’s head right now. … That doesn’t affect me, that’s you.”

When asked to weigh in on his sit-down with Christine and David, Kody told Suki that David wanted to be in the conversation, despite him trying to have a conversation with Christine. Suki went on to ask Kody if David’s presence made the exchange with Christine “difficult,” and while Kody initially admitted that it did, he claimed that David “absolutely means well,” even if he doesn’t understand who Kody is as a person.

Are we absolutely SURE Kody is a real person and isn’t an alien beamed in from Planet Hair Gel?

“I think David’s a guy, and guys think they’ve got things figured out, and plural marriage is the kind of thing that tells you [that] you don’t know s**t,” he added. “David doesn’t know yet that he doesn’t know s**t, but I now know that I don’t know s**t.”

“Well that’s the understatement of the century, but we agree!”

Kody insisted that during the face-to-face with Christine and David, he wanted to be “courteous” to David because he finds him to be “likable,” though he also argued that he and David don’t know each other “at all.”

Though Kody claimed that he and David don’t know each other, another clip from Sunday’s episode showed the former polygamist admitting that he tuned in to watch David and Christine’s wedding special on TV and allegedly enjoyed seeing the two tie the knot.
